Neon Blue - American Apparel, Models Own white nail art pen, unknown - Accessorize

These photos arent great, but i blame the poor light. Its definitely not my bad camera skills.. Ok so maybe it is. But you can at least see the pattern i have gone for! Its similar to ones i have done before with little flowers but i love the colours used in this. The flowers also have more of an arrangement on my nail rather than dotted all over. I was inspired by this post i found on pinterest.
I only have to weeks of learning left in this semester at uni (cant believe it has gone so fast!) So i want to knuckle down this week and work extra hard. We have a case on breast cancer so its definitely one of the harder ones. Forewarning that i might be a bit MIA on the blog and twitter!
Hope everyone has a good week :)

AA: Lopez Canyon

Wednesday, 14 November 2012

Okay so after a failed attempt at recording a video for you all i thought i would do a quick post on (yet another!) nail varnish. The video didnt work out because silly me turned the camera portrait so i had to rotate it on the computer and then is had big black lines down either side when uploaded to youtube. So i will attempt to film it again asap.
In the meantime this is the free polish that i got from American Apparel last week.

This one is called Lopez Canyon and is more of a burnt orange irl, it shows up quite red on camera. Its not very similar to any shades i have and is something i have been after for a while so glad a was able to pick this up.

Sheer turquoise

Wednesday, 15 August 2012

Late night post. Really nervous for results day tomorrow. So thought i would show you a nail polish i had on a few days ago.

The quality of the photos isnt great, but the finish on the polish is really lovely. It is from the sheer range at american apparel. Its different to other polishes out there and i havent seen another brand produce one like it yet. They are pretty pricey, but i bought 3 for £17 which doesnt work out too badly.

Right now i am pooing my pants about tomorrow. I know there is nothing i can so but i still worry! I get my results online at 6am, feel like just staying up till that time. Have plans for the rest of the day which involve seeing friends and lots of drinking. If all goes to plan i will be starting at manchester university in september.
To try and distract ourselves from the thought of tomorrow we went shopping in liverpool today. got a few pieces that i will photograph when i next have time. I have started to buy more into autumn clothing now, which i prefer to summer clothing most of the time.

Hear those crocodiles ticking 'round the world

Not the greatest 'outfit post' seeing as you cant really see my outfit. But the photos where you can didnt come out all that well, so you'll have to make do with my face. The shirt is from urban renewal and i bought it a while ago, become a pretty key piece for me, i love it. The grey hoody is from american apparel. You cant see it very well but my necklace is the cutest thing. Its 3 little vintage chairs in gold and silver, wish i knew what shop it was from, because it was given to me as a present. Is it bad that i am more likely to post frequently when i have revision to do?!

This is my outfit from last night. Me and the fam went out for a curry to a great place not too far from us. It was kind of a belated celebration for mine and my sisters results. Got a proper food baby after the meal though! The pictures are pretty awful.. but it was dark outside and there isnt anywhere great to take them inside. But a big thank you to my brother for taking them.

Top: American Apparel
Jeans: Topshop

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I really did this week. It was relaxed and i got to spend time with my boyfriend which i really wish happened more often!

'You are the only exception'

Rounded corners are taking over my blog. Cardigan - H&M, Denim playsuit - Warehouse, Top - American Apparel

I wore this yesterday but didnt get round to editing the photos till today. Whenever i take outfit photos they always end up looking really washed out, any tips? Also, ways to not look awkward in front of a camera?
This outfit was inspired by the slightly warmer and sunnier weather we seemed to be having. I wasnt going without tights just yet but a cute playsuit and thin short sleeved tee felt fairly spring like. And then it had to be cloudy, misty, rainy, foggy and everything else all day! I wasnt best pleased. Still i think i am going to get alot of wear out of this playsuit this summer, its been sitting in my wardrobe for long enough.

I now have a ton of work to do. Pshychology was cancelled today so i came home early, yay. But i havent done any of the work set which is in for tomorrow, oops. I also have a billion and one maths past papers to do so i had best get cracking. Hope everyone enjoys their wednesday.

So there you go, things i have bought lately.
Skirt - £4 - Charity shop
Tunic - £44 - American Apparel
Shirt - £30 - Topshop
Dress - £14 - Portobello Market
Velvet dress - £5 - Primark
Blouse - £28 - Zara
Belt - £1 - Primark

Personally i quite like seeing what other people have bought. I tend to like the pieces and then go out and buy them, an excuse to buy more clothes.
You know what really annoys me with blogger though? The way they do photos. They are so hard to arrange! So apologies for the random arrangement of the above photos. Au revoir.

Turning heads for all the wrong reasons

Clockwise: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7

Ive made a couple of online purchases lately. I was tempted by the free postage at new look and have decided to keep two of the three things that i have bought! I bought an American Apparel voucher off Groupon on Gem's reccomendation, it caused such a kafuffle because we thought it had gone through, then it hadnt, now it has and we ended up ordering 3 (ooops!) So i had £50 to spend online, £50 to spend instore and £50 went to my sister. Been wanting the alphabet top for an age so im glad i had an 'excuse to buy it'. The socks are a little extra for my boyfriend :) The tunic is from topshop like i said i was going to buy. The others are from new look. The peter pan collar is too cute and very easy to wear. I was dissapointed with the blouse though cause the material is really clingy and just doesnt sit well.
Back in not shopping world i have been working, 3 shifts already, and although its hard work i am really enjoying it. I get to see my boy after a whole two weeks because of exams and so much else going on. And also i would just like to say hi to all my followers. 50, wow. Thank you!
