So there you go, things i have bought lately.
Skirt - £4 - Charity shop
Tunic - £44 - American Apparel
Shirt - £30 - Topshop
Dress - £14 - Portobello Market
Velvet dress - £5 - Primark
Blouse - £28 - Zara
Belt - £1 - Primark

Personally i quite like seeing what other people have bought. I tend to like the pieces and then go out and buy them, an excuse to buy more clothes.
You know what really annoys me with blogger though? The way they do photos. They are so hard to arrange! So apologies for the random arrangement of the above photos. Au revoir.

100

Saturday, 26 February 2011

This is my 100th post on this blog.

During my trip to London we visited Portobello Market, Covent Gardens, Oxford Street, V&A, National Science museum and Holland Park. We stayed with some good friends down there who own the most gorgeous house in Hammersmith. The weather was pretty good if a little on the rainy side but i had a great time nonetheless. In the pictures in my last post the girl is called Harriet, shes 4 and is so cute! I chased her round Holland Park and we counted to 82 after playing on the swings.
I have so many new purchases to show you guys, really wish i had more time. Just realised that i have a ton of work to do for monday when i go back to college, and i barely have time tomorrow since i am spending the afternoon at my granny's with my boyfriend and my family. Although i cant wait cause she makes the best puddings- nomnomnom. Hope everyone has had a good half term :-)

A selection of photos from my weekend down in London. I will do a proper post on it asap, i also have a few other things lined up. But tomorrow today looks like a busy day and an early start so i probably wont post again. I had a great time in London and cant wait to get back down there with my boyfriend sometime in the next few months. I have also bought quite a few things which need sharing with you!

Used to get it in your fishnets, now you only get it in your nightdress

Tights - Sainsburys, Dress - New Look, Hoody - Superdry

I took these after college and had put my hair up for work, its not a pretty sight..
But i like this outfit at the moment. I find that tights and a dress is really one of the comfiest outfits that you can wear. And it looks way more attractive than sweatpants for college (although i do like the idea of a cosy day in a pair of sweats.)
I am going to London tomorrow until tuesday, so probably won't post until i get back. But that doesnt make much of a difference seeing as i am not really posting regularly lately. That will change! I will be posting on twitter whilst im away though so follow me here. We are hitting Portobello Market tomorrow, near to where i used to live, the V&A on monday and not sure what we are doing the rest of the time.
Hope everyone has a good half term.

 'Tram shed'

 'Yellow chair'
'Streets of Sydney'

All of these photos were taken by Tabitha (http://tabithaemma.com/photography). I found her site when she did a blog header for Stephanie. She has some of the most amazing illustrations and is very talented. But i was captured by her photos. Each one with its own charm. The 4 above were my favourites but i loved them all. I often wish that i had the talent and creativeness of someone like Tabitha, being able to draw like that would make me very happy.

ph: we heart it

You've heard it all day, but happy valentines. I enjoy the time it gives me with my boyfriend and the special feeling you get inside knowing you have some to share it with. But love should be for every day of the year, not just celebrated on one. It didnt stop us from going out for that 'valentines meal' and buying roses and baking buns (i forgot to get a picture since he came round and surprised me before i could finish them!) I had a wonderful time, but i do everytime i see him.
Cheese all over and done with now, honsest guys. Hope everyone has had a great day, including all those who are single. Love can be shared between friends and family too :)

Spots and stripes

All items from Topshop

Spring/summer is nearing and all i want to do is buy shorts, skirts and pretty tops. But the weather outside (although today is gorgeous) really isnt looking very spring like. I just cant justify buying summer clothes yet. So for now i will just lust after things.
By the time summer comes i know i will have bought a blue and white striped top. I love this one without sleeves, tucked into a cute little pair of shorts. I also seem to be embracing polka dots. I think these high waisted shorts are too good to pass on. I may buy some in a plain navy blue too.

On another note my mum has agreed to let me have a tattoo! Cant wait to get it done asap.

Vivatramp

Wednesday, 9 February 2011

In a bid to get to know the bloggers i follow better i have done an interview with Bee from Vivatramp. I have followed her for a while now and i love her writing style and what she posts about. I can relate to quite alot of what she posts about, and the knew 'What if..' posts she has just started writing have already got me daydreaming! And for the interview:

What/who inspired you to start a blog?
I've always had an interest in writing and the release it can give people. This inspired me to start my own blog and engage people with my own writing. I didn't really know anyone with a blog prior to starting one so it's amazing to think of the amount of friends I've made due to it!

What advice would you give to someone who is just starting out?
Work out your niché. Do you want it to be a food blog? A fashion blog? A lifestyle blog? Ensure that you write features relevant to you, your passions in life and your blog. Don't feel you have to be part of the crowd. After all, it's your individuality that'll set you apart from thousands of bloggers. There's also a really handy guide at Michelle's gorgeous blog: http://www.daisybutter.com/p/blogging-tips-and-tricks.html

Do you think it was important for you to gain followers?
For me, it's not really a popularity contest. I'm still as happy blogging as I was when I had about 10 followers. However, this is not to say that I don't value each and every single one of my readers. Their interest means the world to me and it's so rewarding to see the blog growing. It's really quite overwhelming. Basically, don't make blogging about followers...make it for you. I think once you lose that personal element you lose part of your spark.

I love all your posts but my favourite is H is for Happy. Which is your favourite to write?
I'm glad you like 'H is for Happy'. I think it might be my favourite to put together too! I think it's because it makes me feel good to be thinking about the simple things in life that make me smile. It's also nice to receive good feedback from people saying that it's cheered up their day. Although, my new post 'What If...' is also a lot of fun to write too! I hope people like it!

Whose is your favourite blog to read? And why?
Oh god, that's like picking your favourite child! It's impossible :/ Oww, this is horrendous to answer because I've made soooo many friends and I find so many blogs inspirational  :| Okay, I'm going to go with the lovely Lyzi's blog over at http://littlebeinglittle.blogspot.com/. I love it's eclecticism. I'm also madly in love with Lyzi - not in a gay way. I definitely advise you head on over there now!

Even though fashion isn’t your main blog focus, if you could only have one type of piece of clothing forever, what would it be? And why?
Oh god :/ I'm gunna go with a cape. A sparkly gold cape. I think it's one of those items of clothing that you'd treasure forever and it'd set you apart from the crowd. It'd also make you look like a superhero and that's a brilliant look. If I was going to pick my favourite piece that I own...I'd have to say it's probably my bright red coat. I'm visible for miles in it and this makes me feel safe. Ha!

What’s your favourite high street store to buy from?
I don't really buy a lot of things and when I do it's usually online :S However, I loooove browsing Accessorize for all their gorgeous accessories. I think you can get some really high end looking pieces for a small price. I'm one for cheap and cheerful fashion so any high street stores like: Topshop, River Island, H & M, New Look and Primark take my fancy.

How long do you think you will continue your blog for?
I will stick with it for as long as it makes me happy and feels right! Vivatramp has become my baby. I want to be here to see it grow up!

I think you would be crazy not to check out this blog!

ps: i may have a giveaway lined up for when i hit 100 followers. i found the cutest little bag!

Make sure you turn the light out before you go to bed.

Another we heart it image and quick post. Still in that major super busy stage and seem to have a lot going on which never ends. Few things to update you on:

01. I have started on my way to completing one of my new year resolutions. I have officially signed up for this years Race For Life in Halifax. Im racing with my mum and my sister and we want to raise as much money as possible for those who really need it.

02. I have got a place on a weeks volunteering residential in a Vitalise respite centre down in Southport. Its the kind of things i have wanted to do for a while, it will also give me a great start looking into medicine and working with those with disabilities.

03. Im trying to be more cautious with my money, generally, but especially this month. I am earning money now so its great to have that bit extra coming in. However i think i may struggle not buying this month, there are some gorgeous pieces coming up in spring/summer collections. (Wait for another wishlist.)

Please bare with me, i will be back asap, honest guys. Merci.

There arent enough hours in a day.
